Group Lessons
Totem Park Learning Area - Totem Park covers nearly two acres and includes two Wonder Carpet surface lifts. Wonder Carpets are conveyor belts built into the snow for beginners to stand on as they’re gently transported uphill. Skiers and snowboarders enjoy a comfortable ride to the top and have plenty of room to practice their turns on this terrain area totally dedicated to beginners. Skiers and riders are welcome in Totem Park even when not enrolled in lessons.

LEARN-TO-SKI I - Learn the basic techniques for gliding, turning and stopping. This lesson takes advantage of the short shaped skis that speed up the learning process for beginners. Participants must use Crystal’s beginner-specific rental equipment. For first-timers only, ages 13 and up.

LEARN-TO-SKI II - Following Learn-to-SKI I, this lesson will take you to the next level. You will be linking turns on beginner slopes and riding the chairlift. Participants must use Crystal’s beginner-specific rental equipment. Ages 13 and up.

LEARN-TO-SKI III - This lesson puts it all together! Taken after our Learn-to-SKI I and SKI II lessons, or as a refresher, this lesson will give you the skills and confidence to ski advanced beginner and intermediate slopes. In this lesson, you will advance from the short beginner skis to longer shaped skis. Ages 13 and up.

Learn-to-RIDE 1 - Get on board with this popular winter sport! Join our certified pros for an introductory snowboard lesson. For first-timers only, ages 13 and up.

Learn-to-RIDE II - RIDE II is the perfect follow up to your Learn-to-RIDE I lesson! Improve your side-slipping, turning and stopping skills and learn to ride the chairlift. Ages 13 and up.

Learn-to-RIDE III - Combined with Learn-to-RIDE I and RIDE II, or as a refresher, this lesson is your ticket to ride the mountain! Your pro will help fine-tune your skills and give you the confidence to ride advanced beginner and intermediate slopes. Ages 13 and up.

Small Fry Private - Our pros work with your young child in a hands-on lesson that maximizes their progress and enjoyment. One-hour lessons are suggested for children 2 1/2 - 4 and up to a two-hour lesson for children ages 5 and up.

Parent & Child Private - This private lesson is designed with parents and kids in mind! Our pros will focus on the skills of the child, while giving parents important tips on how to help out in the learning process. Geared for children 6 and under with parents at the intermediate level.

Learn-to-SKI Private - Combine our one-on-one expert instruction with the short shaped skis and you will be comfortable skiing beginner runs and riding the chairlift by the end of your two-hour private lesson. Participants must use Crystal’s beginner-specific rental equipment. For first-timers and/or Learn-to-SKI I or SKI II lesson participants only, ages 13 and up.

Women’s Winter Tour Weekend - The nationally known Women’s Winter Tour has relocated to Crystal Mountain! Join us for the weekend as we celebrate women, winter and chocolate in this annual fundraiser. True to the Tour, the weekend will feature grand food, wine and chocolate galore! Come for the weekend and partake in a luminary snowshoe hike and welcome reception Friday night. Saturday features downhill or cross-country skiing, ski clinics, equipment demos, ski waxing clinic, health expo and LunaFest Film Festival. The main event happens on Sunday with the Women’s Winter Tour, where you can snowshoe or cross-country ski along Crystal’s wooded trails with other females, kicking of at 9am. The whole weekend is full of fun for women of all ages - it is THE girls’ winter getaway!

Kids’ Programs
Camp Totem - Camp Totem is only steps away from our Totem Park learning area, where all levels of lessons begin. It is home for our Nursery and Adventure Cubs programs, Crystal Kids & Riders break and lunch area and our evening program, Kids Night Out.

Crystal Kids and Riders Ski & Snowboard Programs - Ages 7-12 years, beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers and riders. These programs give kids the opportunity to have fun, explore the slopes, improve their skills and make new friends. Our certified pros specialize in teaching kids and arrange classes by age and ability. Advance reservations recommended, call ext. 2000.

Adventure Cubs Ski Program - Ages 3-6 years, beginner and intermediate skiers. This program is specifically tailored to the needs and desires of young skiers. New skiers will learn to ski at our Totem Park learning area and experienced skiers will head to the slopes. Our classes are limited in size to promote safety, fun and learning and arranged by age and ability. Camp Totem is the perfect place to play if children need a break from skiing. Crystal’s staff of cross-country instructors has a combined experience of over 50 years in teaching. Private and Group lessons will encompass a thorough overview of the chosen technique, how to dress for the elements, waxing and equipment care.

Camps
Nordica Development Camp
This premier race camp is designed for competitive USSA, club and high school racers, ages 12-18. Includes the latest USSA coaching techniques taught by some of the best coaches in the state. The camp will be filled with gate training, conditioning and video analysis. Racers will be grouped by age and ability. Includes coaching, lodging, meals, lift tickets and activities. Rossignol Race Camp
This camp is designed for junior racers, ages 7-12. Our outstanding coaching staff will give racers the opportunity to improve technique through drills, gate training and video analysis. B-Xtreme Boarder Camp
Our B-Xtreme camp offers experienced snowboarders, ages 10 and up, the opportunity to improve their skills in the terrain park and halfpipe. Race Programs
Masters Race Clinics
Designed for adults who aim to improve their racing skills and techniques. Coaches will personally critique each racer. Race Private

Adult Race League
Enjoy all the thrills, camaraderie and social atmosphere of our race leagues this winter! Our Tuesday Night League is held primarily on Buck for intermediate and advanced racers who like the steeps. The popular Thursday Night League for beginner through advanced racers is held primarily on Cheers. Both leagues enjoy sponsored festivities in the Vista Lounge, with music and food. NASTAR
NASTER (National Standard Race) provides a fun, competitive racing program that, through a handicap system, allows racers of all ages and abilities to compare themselves to one another regarless of when and where they race. Crystal uploads the races daily, so go online and check your results compared to other racers across the country. Register at nastar.com and then sign up the day of the race at the Snow Sports Desk. Team Crystal
TEAM Crystal is designed to generate and promote interest in competitive skiing and offers kids the opportunity to develop their skills. For more information, call ext. 2006.

The Junior Development Team is open to experienced skiers, ages 7-14. The program aims to help skiers develop fundamental racing skills in a team environment. It’s ideal for those seeking a weekly training program geared toward racing. Our outstanding coaching staff leads this team and arranges groups by age and ability. Junior Development Team participants will have the opportunity to participate in several club races throughout the season.

Alpine Race Academy
The Alpine Race Academy is geared for USSA and middle/high school athletes who wish to maximize their competitive ski racing potential. Our outstanding coaching staff will provide a comprehensive training program and video analysis for the entire season.

Mountain Activities
Horse-Drawn Surrey Rides
Be whisked away through our winter wonderland by a team of gentle Belgian horses! Rides include a bonfire with marshmallows. Several rides offered per evening. Check for extended holiday schedules.

Crystal Family on Ice
Enjoy an afternoon of ice skating. Skate rentals are available at the Mountain Adventure Center on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Hockey Hour
Hockey fans! Practice your skating and scoring skills on the ice for one hour in the morning and evening, starting at 9am and 9pm. Stick and puck rental available at the Mountain Adventure Center.

Wild Wonders Moonlight Hike

Birds of Prey
