There are many fine restaurants in Mackinaw City but you just have to try a local favorite, pasties.We had no idea what this was and decided to try it. This is an enjoyable treat for lunch or dinner and be prepared, they are quite filling. Some restaurants will offer this traditional dish from Michigan's Upper Peninsula or you can pick them up from one of the local pastie shops. Everyone visiting here should try it at least once.
